Up for grabs this afternoon is a lovely carnival glass Hemingray CD 168. I recently purchased this piece on eBay, but I realized upon getting it home and cleaning the soot off it, that I wouldn't enjoy it nearly as much as some other folks of more pertinent geography would. So, here I am, passing it along again. The piece seems to be the [110] embossing style, and does appear to be a legit Hemingray carnival piece, based on the description given by Bill in [id=218488663;this photo]. Very little carnival on the dome, and no "spottiness" on the base of the piece. Looks real to me! The colour is fantastic, especially outdoors or in natural light! It's a wonder more people didn't notice pieces like this while they were in use! The condition of the piece is very reasonable. There are two 1/8" fleabites on the front - one on the upper wire ridge, and one on the front crown. There is a 5/16" barely noticeable fancrack-type-flake on the inner side of the front, left skirt. There is a little bit of flaking around the base of the pinhole that appears to be from manufacture. Short of this, a bit of "highpoint" wear on the MADE IN U.S.A., and D-510 embossings on the front and rear skirt appears to be all the damage the piece has. I'm asking $55.00 U.S. plus shipping for this beautifully coloured, and most importantly, AUTHENTIC, Hemingray carnival piece. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Please feel free to email me with any questions, or for more photos. Also, please check out my "unsold" stock in the "Not Sold" folder, and combine multiple purchases to save shipping! All the best! |
