Here's one out of a collection I bought recently. Nice early Hemi No 12 with micro prism embossing. These date from 1895-1901 so they enjoyed about 6 years of production. The colour is a straight blue. I took the photo in direct afternoon sunlight and there's not a lick of aqua about this guy. The embossing is tiny, the 2's have the really fancy loopy tail plus a very lazy 9 in the patent date. The damage it has is confined to the base as usual, lots of the stubby, fat SDP's are flaked and had the tips chipped off,6 are flush removed, there's a base chip that caused a paper thin flake that takes out the N in No 12 and to the rear on inside of the skirt is a clamshell shallow chip that chipped 1 drip in half. I see a few fleebites on the body of the insulator. Displays V NM condition from the front. Light blue books $75-$100 in the guide.I'll price this one reasonable. First mail to me... $13 + actual shipping.
