Photographed along a straight, neat sidewalk view of a neighborhood in this quiet Ohio town exactly a hundred years ago. Very likely nothing man-made was heard close-by nor in the distance. What you heard was simply nature. And what you smelled was the same....perhaps from the aroma from one or more of the coal or wood stoves in the kitchens within close proximity ;-)
