Hopefully I'm not boring everyone with stories of finding common insulators in Ohio. We had another successful hunt today. We walked a section of our favorite bike trail tonight that we hadn't searched before. Where the bike trail goes over an old railroad trestle, I looked over the rail and saw this on a sandbar right under the bridge. I think the recent heavy rains in the area must have unearthed this. It's a nearly intact Hemingray 12 (CD 113) with some minor chipping on the base. A very common insulator to be sure, but its an indication that this bike trail has more treasures to find if we keep at it.
