Here's something most of you telephone guys probably never saw before...a set of New England Telephone & Telegraph Company playing cards. The ones shown (not from my collection) date back to the 1890s or early 1900s. Wow! Perhaps when the weather was intolerable/impossible for open-wire line repair the crews gathered by the fireplace or woodstove and passed a deck of cards like these around. If they could only talk!
