These circuits were carried on ten-pin crossarms protruding from near their ends as you can see. They were connected together with a vertical metal brace near the crossarms' opposite end and overall supported upwards by an "alley arm" brace mounted to the lower crossarm to the pole at a 45-degree angle. This view is a bit special because it shows this old line traversing across the roadway with the "glittering" insulators in the foreground well within view. |
