You won't see a lot of these. This piece came from a spring in PA. and that is how it got preserved in what is otherwise pretty a pretty temperate climate that would have rotted the piece. Most the better finds came from the desert southwest which is obviously dryer and hotter climate. I have additional photos if interested. The base does have some chipping and from being buried there is staining. Still, this is truly a piece of American history for your shelf. The insulator is attached to the wood.
