These two [040] Diamond CD 102s are being thinned from the collection. Both are very well endowed with dome glass, and both are in need of a good home! The piece on the left is a special one, that's for certain! With 1 1/4" of dome glass, and amber swirl about through that dome, a quintet of very nicely placed bubbles in the front skirt, and an overall "out of round" or "pinched" effect causing the whole insulator to be slightly oval-shaped, it's a very special piece! The only thing wrong with it is an area of scratching on the left side of the piece running from the crown down to about 1/4 of the way up the skirt. I have no idea what caused the scratching, but although it's noticeable, it pales by the bubbles, amber, dome glass, and squished effects the piece has to offer! The piece on the right is not quite as dramatic, but still kind of neat! This one has the same 1 1/4" of dome glass, and this time, with some milky wisps running through it. Although they aren't all that numerous, you have to keep in mind how neat a milky wisp looks in any other insulator, and then picture it in this crystal ball of a 102 dome! This one also features the "out of around effect" the other has to offer, and, strangely enough, the damage is limited to the same sort of scratching! This time, though, the scratching is limited to a small area on the rear dome, and is not as noticeable. I'm asking $11.00 U.S. plus shipping for these brethren from the annealing oven. I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Feel free to email with any questions, or for more photos! |
