For your consideration this (morning) is an excelling example of the otherwise common [040] embossing style in the Diamond CD 102 embossing designation. This one, as plain as can be seen in the attached photo, has a very, VERY well placed bubble! The bubble actually bulges inwards, protruding into the pinhole/interior skirt area. [040]s in aqua plague the Canadian collector as being a horribly common embossing style, but this one is different! The damage on this piece is very limited. There is some scratching in the wire groove as is expected for any insulator that has been used, and there is a bit of scratching above and below the rear wire groove, as well. The scratching above the wire groove resulted in a very faint 1/4" fisheye at one end of it. There are also two small base chips, one on the left side of the front base, and 3/8" long, 1/8" wide, and the second on the rear base - 1/4" long by 1/8" wide. All in all, the damage is actually very limited, and, of course, sounds worse than it is! I'm asking $10 U.S. plus shipping for this exceeding example of an otherwise common embossing style. If you need a good example of the [040] embossing for a 102 Diamond display, here is your man! I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before. Feel free to email with any questions, or for more photos! |
