I have had this piece for over 10 years. The price (below) is about $100 more than I paid for it then. As far as I know it is unique with exciting coloration ranging from yellow through many reddish and olive shades...to dark amber. Call it a tri-tone, 4-tone or whatever number of tones! No matter how you look at this piece or how often, it keeps on having a different look! Condition is superb with only VERY minor fleabites on a couple drip points...a little bit of pinhole flaking, a very minor nick on the upper wire groove ridge and a virtually invisible stress line through the pinhole to dome area which is nearly impossible to notice. I've photographed this insulator looking up thru the bottom giving you an idea of how nice the drip points look, minor pinhole chafing and the crazy swirls and colors. This piece has been very difficult to photograph due to its multi colored tones and depth of color. Best displayed with strong backlighting or underlit with fluorescent lights. If you are seriously interested please write if you need any more information and/or would like to have more pix of this very rare SDP Brookfield. Price is $955 and that includes shipping and insurance to your US address. Thank you. Sincerely, Joe Maurath, Jr. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ |
