An original piece of Americana that has not been refinished, as many of these pieces have been. If you like original, this one is for you. It retains traces of the original finish which was a rather ugly green paint. This comes from my collection. The skirt is heavily concaved in its construction and the details of the lathe work are pretty defiined as evidenced by the upper rim just under the saddle top. Saddletop were used in straight line configurations. This one has the petitcoat base. I consider this unfinished piece a true piece of history since it retains some of the original paint.
