This nice Hemi No 9 really is a unique bird. The date is 1899 where the 3 has been completely closed at the top creating a whonky 9.Now for that 2 in May....that thing is very fancy script looped at the top and base that I'd almost say it looks like the Sterling insignia. The top loop of the 2 is completely closed and the base of it has a good long tail. Front skirt embossing is very large 1/4" tall and very bold plus extremely closely crammed together. Rear skirt embossing is smaller. The drips are widely spaced like McLaughlin drips and only one has the very tip nipped off.A bit of light rubs in the trough, otherwise about perfect. Normally I'd keep something like this for my collection but I am now out of room. First mail to me... $20 + actual shipping. Now reduced to $14 + shipping |
