Leaning *way* out while on his hooks, this lineman is proudly shown maintaining his overhead lines in this ad. Back in those days (and through the 1960s) manilla rope was pretty much the standard. And for those of you who were in the utility biz and/or collecting back then, that undescribably sweet smell of manilla rope wiill always remain among our favorite memories!!
