Very tough little LRI to get yer hands on here. Embossed around the side "OTIS PATENT / 1851.These had a metal cap on the top with one of several attachments which were either a tiny spade top, a wiggly top spike, and 2 small rabbit ear spikes. This one does not have the metal cap but that doesn't make it no less desireable. The colour is a light yellow straw. There are 2 base chips on the base which will cover with the ring, micro flaking and nibbles around the base and a clamshell chip on the top edge across one side above the diamond. That's the major damage, there's also some light flaking around the square top and a thin white bruise. All of this top damage will be covered if you have the metal cap that is supposed to go on the top.LRI displays VNM looking directly at 1851.I'll toss a metal mounting ring in free with this LRI so you have the ring to cover the base.
