The "OWLS" [previous picture] have left the Insulator Field, but in their place are 5 interesting Dutch pieces that I had never seen before. The mama OWL is conventionally threaded, whereas papa OWL is unthreaded. At this time their exact use is unknown to me, as is the small egg shaped piece, so if you have any thoughts / suggestions, please let me know. The black copper covered porcelain is also a first for my collection, and the only knowledge I have of these is that they [several] were picked by a lineman in Holland in 1972. The large unit centre rear appears to be upside down, but the letters and numbers would indicate otherwise ??? It is unthreaded, and the only unglazed surface is the small firing rest on the top of the inner ring. The OTE unit in the back is made by Closter Veilsdorf of Veilsdorf, Germany. The "CV in a circle" manufacturer's logo is on the reverse side. If you wish to see more detail of the "OWLS", their "egg", or any of the other pieces, email me privately at the address shown above. Thanks for taking the time to look, and please forward any thoughts, comments, suggestions to me. Bob Scafe, Merritt, B.C.
