Good day, all!

I've decided to part with the piece shown in [id=160428664;this picture], and also in [id=160428810;this picture]. It is a very unusual piece, with a very much unlisted nature.

In short, the embossing on this piece is as follows;

(f-skirt) HEMINGRAY / No 9

(r-skirt) PATENT / MAY 2 1893 {'MAY 2 1893' is engraved over 'No 9'}

SDP

The colour of the piece is a standard Hemingray dark aqua. The embossing style appears to be stamped, but the glass is unbelievably thick considering how thin it normally is on these stamped 9's. This one has a full one inch of dome glass! There is a thick swirling at the base of the pinhole, where the glass is 5/8" thick. This insulator weighs as much as a 145, I swear! There are countless mould repairs along the bottom edge of the skirt, as well as the mould lines. There are also a couple really nice bubbles in the dome!

The condition is good on this solid piece, with just a couple upper wire ridge flakes and a chipped drip or two. The wire ridge chips are 4 in number. There are two such flakes on the rear upper wire ridge, measuring 5/16" by 1/4" and 5/16" by 5/16". There is one flake on the left mould line at the upper wire ridge, measuring 1/8" in diametre, and there is one last one above the 'Y' in "HEMINGRAY" measuring 1/8" as well. There is a ping on the right branch of the Y in "MAY", and 3 chipped drips, only one of which is below the front skirt. There are also two deep scratches in the rear wire ridge, which lead me to believe this piece was used with some heavy guage iron wire. Anyways, this damage report makes the piece sound much worse than it is, trust me.

In short, this is probably the niftiest CD 106 Hemingray I've ever found! I'm asking $25.00 U.S. plus shipping for it, as you likely won't have too many chances to combine an unlisted embossing error with ultra-thick glass, dome bubbles, and good condition to form such an extraordinary piece! I accept personal cheques from any member of ICON, or anyone I've dealt with before.

All the best!
