Big green Folembray (almost a) Spool from France

This has two threaded pinholes, one at each end, and there is an inch or two of glass separating them internally. Sometimes called an "indoor insulator" it prpbably served to support an "electrical table" or to separate high tension bus-bars. There is very faint embossing on one end, but it is nearly illegible. Came from France, by way of Florida.

Note sure which end is "up" or if it even matters ;-)
