Just wanted to share a couple of nice Colorado Springs finds with you. The unembossed snotty Emerald/Dark Green on the left is from a local DAV Thrift store about 4 years ago. Considering it was 1 of a 100 or so in the barrel full of insulators I bought for $20.00 .... I guess it cost about 20 cents. The Green Aqua 7 - 7 on the right was plucked off an old house (and replaced with a nice shiney 134 brookie) a few blocks from my shop about 4 hours ago. I took it back to the shop and let it soak half way in laquer thinner for 20 minutes and wiped away the 3 to 4 coats of paint to reveal this mint condition beauty with a nice underpour to the right of the "7" . I've driven by the front of that old place a hundred times, but it only took once driving thru the alley around back to catch sight of this painted piece attached to the eave. There was a person working on the roof, so I stopped and got to talking to the him, Well, before you know it, we're both walking away happy. Me with a nice King City Glass Co. 151 and him with a crisp $10.00 dollar bill. I kinda like the way it looks with the paint on top....maybe I'll keep it that way for awhile. Sometimes it pays to take the road less traveled, huh?

Keep your eyes open,

DAN
