My collection of Hemingray No 9s began in 1974 with a single insulator. By 1976 it had grown to 210 pieces, each different from all the rest. In 1976 I attended the 7th NIA National at Berea, Ohio and did my first display. Altho not too clear in the photo (remeber this was long before digital cameras), I did the No 9 in clear glass. The display used 192 of my 210 pieces. For my efforts I was awarded the first NIA Trophy for "Best Threaded Glass"
