Any early No.12 is about 20 times harder to find than a comparable No.9, but in any color besides typical aqua, they get to be very rare, indeed. This piece is what I would describe as an off-clear, or ice green shade. It is bright and sparkly, and close to clear, with a green tint much like that seen in 1934 vintage Hemis ..... except this one dates to 1895-1901. One of two I have seen, this one is far better than the one in my collection, but I found mine, so I'll offer this one for sale. If the color (or lack of) wasn't enough, the piece has a terrific bubble located in just the right spot too. A stringer of olive winds around in the piece here and there as well. Condition is fantastic for this damage prone style. 3 cleanly sliced drips are the worst of it, with a few more slightly nicked. Own a very rare early Hemi No.12 . $95 post paid in US |
