Bright Blue Early Hemingray No.9

These are such pretty insulators. This one has the peculiar wide-spaced drips these are occasionally found with. A brilliant blue with teeny-tiny fizzies in it to make it just glow. This piece has what some collectors call "hair" in the glass, an odd "current" of lines actually part of the glass. No major damage to report. None of the typical base chips and bruising, ... just a few pecks and cleanly nicked drips. This embossing dates from 1895 to 1901, and excavation at Covington has caused researchers to believe these blue dudes were made during Hemingray's shortlived re-opening of the plant there in 1901. Nice piece !
