Went for a road trip on 2/19/08 in SE Washington state. The weather was cold (for the desert) at about 23 degrees F and there was plenty of fog to make it interesting driving. Well....the afternoon brought sunshine, blue skies, 40 degrees.......and snowy pieces found. :-) Everywhere there was shade revealed snowy pieces waiting to be found. The snow was scattered, but in areas was quite thick. Here is about 6 inches of snow....some areas were closer to 3 or 4 feet. In a couple of days/weeks the snow will be gone, the area will be dusty and the birds will be coughing. Aaahhhh.....the indication that Spring is just around the corner. Please excuse my need to show you my road trip. I don't get to enjoy too many days like I did on this trip. No watch, no hurry. I was absolutely whipped after walking/climbing/driving all over. What a great day!!! Here is a picture showing one of the many snowy pieces that I found.....hope you enjoy it.
