A couple months ago I went to a party of one of my mom's friends and she had insulators from her father who was a linemen back in the 1940-50's. Back in the 1950's, near the Boston area they went around changing most of the insulators from the late 1800's to early 1900's and so he was able to take home about 90+ insulators from the street. He had given them to here in the mid-60's and she thought they were cool for awhile and then later on stashed them under her basement stairs for 30+ years, so I got to go down and look at them and take home a few, she had a bunch of nice(dusty though) & rare ones, most of them were those dark green Brookfield and Star insulators. There were about 7-8 of those Edison CD 285 in rich olive green, I didn't find any rare colored one's, except for an Armstrong one in black-orange amber, I saw a good number of those CD 149's. But out of the 7 I picked up, this was one of them and had not known much about it, until I had asked some about it, and which I was informed that it's worth around $400-500???

I was quite surprised, but I have not seen this one around and so if anyone has one w/ or w/out a picture, please e-mail me at Dirtryder67@aol.com Thanks!
