Photo taken around 1940. On the left is an incandescent street light luminaire on a long mast arm that probably once had a carbon arc light inside of it. The original "drop" wires for maintaining the arc fixture for carbon were retained (this was a "converted" fixture). On the right is an open wire telephone line that also graced this Minnesota community's business center.
