Three Side Shank Brooks Ramshorn Insulators

There were recent discussions on ICON about ramshorn insulators being found in Utah. While most were specimens of Brooks' 1867 patent, a single specimen of the side screw or side shank Brooks ramshorn was found in the late 1990's in the possession of a resident of Northern Utah where it reportedly was first discovered. It was acquired by Ron & Joe Souza.

There are only two other known specimens. One is in the Smithsonian and can be seen at:
