Russian DeSoto? (or Packard), GOM might like this one...

Almost..... It is a GAZ-13 "Seagull" from the late 1950s. I see that they liked thick heavy chrome and bumper guards, as well.... (I have another name for these, but since this is a family forum, so I'll not use it here)...

I think they must have copied the Desoto's (Packard's) looks for this one... The tailfins aren't quite as "aerodynamic" looking as on the original vehicle, perhaps a bit of "soviet peoples economy" was applied to keep the costs down...

Update: Apparently we sold the Soviets the dies and tooling for the 1965 Packard, and they produced the "Seagull" Thanks to Brent for this head-s up.

Similarly, I remember from college days, I hgad a classmate from Argentina and he talked about the "new build" 1937 Chevys that they were manufacturing down there in the 1960s. Apparently GM sold them the dies, toolimg, etc and the design lived on for a few more decades.
