Although I've never been a real fan of eBay for procuring insulators for my collection, I have bought and sold a lot of "stuff" there during the past 10 years.

I highly prefer ICON (Insulator Collectors On the Net) as a one-to-one, personal trading post. In my opinion ;-)

Every single transaction as a buyer or seller since my Day One with eBay has been a positive. Never a neutral or negative.

Recently I received the shown "plaque" (printed out on glossy) commemorating my 1000-feedback eBay milestone.

I know that many others out there in ICON-land have received similar recognition from the 'bay.... from Meg Whitman (current eBay CEO and President).

Since 1998 I have had the opportunity to buy items for my vintage streetlight and insulator collections that I never thought possible in a lifetime...if not for eBay. And...may I add that I've made a great many friendships from dealings from similar collectors of such "things".

My premise as a seller...as Donald Trump has always endorsed: "Know your buyers' needs and provide exactly what they (reasonably) expect from you." I graduated from Bentley College (Waltham, MA) and Mr. Trump's words of business wisdom have also been very highly respected by me...just like everything I learned within the four years of Business Administration courses I took at Bentley (1974 School of Business Administration graduate).
