I have been looking at this type of brown 2 skirt power insulator on TPUD (Tillamook OR. Peoples Utility District) since I was a kid in the 1950's. Here is a pic of them in service. All along I thought that they were just ordinary but ugly choco-brown uniparts and did not know the mfgr. Recently, I was able to pick up 3 of them that were left as salvage from the disasterous 129 MPH windstorm that hit the Oregon coast area on 12/02/07. I was very surprised to find that they were J-D (Jeffery-Dewitt) multiparts. For some close-ups and more info click next!
