A close up of the new insulators and hardware. The sky gray 2 skirt uniparts are made by Victor Insulators and imported from Chile. They have the familiar square Victor Insulators under glaze ink marking, but are lettered V-I in the square and Chile outside the mark with a 2004 date. This is the current insulator of choice used by Tillamook P.U.D. throughout the system and they must have bought quite a lot of them a few years ago since they are still installing them new. I am a little unclear as to the U-Number, but it looks close to U-880 or 880-A. Who says the "rain-shed" style power insulator is dead? This pole is a double dead end and the "rubber chicken" suspensions may also be Victor's but I could not find a mark on them.
