The Tillamook, Oregon P.U.D., my local public utility district, has been busy replacing this stretch of 12,500 volt power line, since all the poles in this section blew down on the road in the Dec. 2, '07 129 MPH windstorm. The line is on highway US 101 near Nehalem, Oregon and is an open stretch along Nehalem Bay. The new poles are very strong and are made of laminated wood sections, as shown in the following photos.
