Let me start by saying I don't anything about this voltmeter, I acquired it in a trade. I tried to find something similar on the 'net without luck, nothing has a wooden handle or is as crudely made At any rate, I know some of you like these old-fashioned electrical tools so I'm offering it at what I hope is a good price. This DC voltmeter goes up to +/- 3 volts which doesn't seem like much. I would guess too much higher and the current would melt the band. It seems to be sturdy and it's made in U.S.A, which doesn't happen much anymore. I am curious about one thing. Why is the "conducting band" a ribbon rather than a straight piece. Does it have something to do with how the current is measured? I'd like to note that the only fair way to handle this transaction should more than one person be interested is the first to contact me gets first shot. Since I don't know what it's worth let's make it $5.00 + actual shipping. That seems reasonable for something like this. Thanks for looking and good luck. Howard |
