13.8Kv and 2.4Kv underbuild

This setup is common in the older parts of Nashville. 2400v is very suitable for neighborhoods, while the 13.8 Kv assumes the task of sub transmission and serving larger loads. This is carried on small signal style porcelain insulators and large "pineapples" (spool insulators). The houses in this area were originally wired with 3-wire open-wire drops on racks/knobs. Modern service upgrades now use Triplexed 4/0 service cable.
