Here's a photo of the other side of my junction pole. The wires I use are quite skinny. This gives you an idea how much the snow clung to the line wires...and everything else including totally covering all of the insulators!!! The heavy snow raised some havoc with trees in the area which fell upon power lines causing widespread outages. The lines themselves nowadays around here are quite beefy and stood up without any problems other than the branches, etc., that interfered with them.
