This is a BORGO No 2205 in a beautiful Emerald Green Glass

This insulator was used on the Italian rail line between Spoleto and Norcia between 1926-1928. It was mainly after World War I that work was completed on the Spoleto-Norcia electric railroad. This railway opened on November 1, 1926 and was shut down on July 13th, 1968. Prior to the electric line service, the first Italian public steam automobile service was started in October 12, 1902.
