Photograph of this little quaint Maine village center. Note the double ten-pin "alley arms" on the pole on the left along with a row of subsequent telephone poles continuing into the distance. This might have been New England Telephone & Telegraph Company territory at the time but I am not sure. Opposed to the many Ma & Pa and other independent telephone companies that once existed in Maine. If NET&T Co. in this picture, this would be a good example of how their custom-marked insulators in our collections looked like in service nearly a century ago.
