This woody vine, while not common is a native vine to the Northern States and is cultivated for ornamental purposes, but in the winter when no leaves are on it can be mistaken for poison ivy vines. The most telltale sign that separates this from the ivies is that this plant has bright orange fruits into the winter. These vines and fruits are quite desireable in the craft hobby for wreathing and bring a good profit when enough can be harvested.
