Here's an attractive Olive Green glazed porcelain multipart insulator recovered in Czechslovakia and marked with a large M with small PHC below that. Originally believed to be made by Elektroporcelán Merklin (today known as Elektroporcelán Louny a.s. (EPL). Merklin began making low voltage insulators in 1913. Overall VNM shape with some scratches and a few small thin surface glaze flakes. For more details [id=200273772]. j Update: PHC marking is an abbreviation for German based factory- Porzellanfabrik Hermsdorf C (is the abbreviated letter for the name of the actual factory site which remains unknown). First email gets it for slashed price of only $100 plus postage. Great price for a colorful and historic insulator! Thanks |
