Note the coils of copper wire in the crate on the back of the truck. These guys were salvaging everything. They had baled the poles and crossarms with steel banding. However, they did not seem to be removing the steel pins from the crossarms, unlike the recovery operation that I photographed last year. See [id=163814664].
