Picture taken around 1910 well before vigorous, strong and powerful internal-combustion machines became commonplace for this gargantous and enormous task. Shown are a number of cattle transporting this dwelling in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. The basic principle of supporting this structure's foundation-sill with proper balance, equlibrium and even weight distribution appears to be the same as utilized today. Note that there weren't any utility lines that had to be lifted in this scene...which would be quite a concern today...ironically a century later! |
