This is an early Hemingray product in a nice light apple green colour. Just embossed with the Dec 1871 patent date and W.U. /5.There is a cool looking lightning arc etched into the glass where the electrical current leaped from the wire, down the glass etching it and grounding to the arm somewhere. There is some more current etching on the side you are looking at just where the lower WG lip is and some thin white calcification inside the skirt. Conditionwise, there are several birdpecks, a match head sized flake on the UWG lip edge, a small open bubble at base's edge and a 1/2" long paper thin flake on the resting edge of the base. Great looking insulator for your collection. First mail to me.... $17 + actual shipping. |
