Had the day off yesterday so decided to visit an old abandoned power line about a half hour south of me. Picked up a few M-2140 Locke years ago while walking an abandoned Erie line that runs parallel. The day started off slow, as they used Lapp line posts as replacements, and all I could find were those. As I got further back in, I started to find empty pins from my previous finds, as well as shattered porcelain from hunters using them for target practice. Finally found a mint unmarked specimen. Was really surprised when the next pole yielded two more! A few spans down turned up a good frost popped one. Continued thru the brush finding either empty pins, or shot up specimens. The grand finale came when I walked up to a downed pole containing THREE mint specimens, one of the in a great orange glaze!
