Here is the cleaned insulator with the sun shinnig through it. The pic does do the DARK OLIVE GREEN CD 162 Hemingray No.19 justice. To the left side of the upper wire grove there might appear to be some damage. What you can see is actually either underpours or wide open bubbles, but certainly not chiped glass. What you can not see is some sort of white stuff all over the dome. It looks to me like something was splatted on the insulator. There are also a number of the drip points that were underpoured and a number of them that have been chiped over the years on that pole. I was very surprised how crude this insulator was made being a Hemingray and all. Regardless, this guy will be staying in my collection.
