We are standing at the corner of Minnehaha and Alder streets, 1 block west of Hwy.101 toward the ocean. Alder St. dead ends here but actually there is a jog (or "dogleg") to the left and the street continues north as Breaker Ave. (an ocean wave not a circuit breaker(; ! The power lines are double dead ended for 2 poles, as they also make the jog. Minnehaha St. ends as a sand access trail right on to the beach. I thought this street was named after Dave Dahle's home county but local history says it was named after a 1910 era lady named Minnie Hadley, who went by "Minnehaha" as a nickname!
