A few people asked for close ups of the repairs. Now, remember these are close ups!!! I also had to turn the piece just right so the light would strike so you could see the repairs. The repairs appear not to be translucent but overall given the generally darker color they don't stand out a lot.

The larger repair is on the left, is about 1" tall and 3/4" wide and slightly raised from the surface of the glass.

The other repair on the right is about 1/2" tall and 1/2" high and also slightly raised, but to a lesser degree.

Although being slightly raised, I don't see any indication they are going to pop out. Probably a side effect of the repair process not being done in a truly professional manner.
