This Portland General Electric Co. (PGE) 57,000 volt line follows Oregon Hwy. 6 near Banks, OR. and ends up a few miles west at the Gales Creek Substation. It was built in the late 1950's or early 60's and used the standard triangle or "delta" formation using line post insulators. PGE flirted with this construction style back then but gave it up due to problems that you will clearly see in the next photo!
