A closer look at the next pole, which is on a curve. Notice the way they ran a downguy cable right off the end of the wishbone. Must have given the line great stability since it still looks perfect after many years in service. I am guessing the pole was new in about 1950 since it is not a full treated cedar. The insulators are likely to be ordinary brand mud suspension disks, probably O-B or Locke. Four of them per wire is the standard on PGE for 57,100 volts. |
