In addition to the display of vintage street lights made by the Wheeler Reflector Company (next photo), I had the privilege and honor on Thursday October 18, 2007 at the Harvey Wheeler Center in Concord, MA to display many photos of Wheeler street lights once in service as well as original advertisements of the company's products (see above).

I also had the pleasure to speak before an audience of nearly 100 people about the company's heritage, patents and manufacturing facilities. In addition, I brought several "specially colored" glass and porcelain insulators which were used as markers or delineators for street lighting circuits. This was complemented by basic descriptions how the "dedicated" wires that operated street lights worked.

My contributions to the Wheeler forum were the last in a four 1.5 hour-each series. All were filmed for television. Further details after editing will follow.

Thanks for your interest!

Sincerely,

Joe Maurath, Jr.
