Not all vintage glass is for insulators

In this case, it is cast into some vacuum tubes, two 1626 triodes from 1943, and two smaller 8532 triodes from the mid 1960s. This little Single-Ended Triode amplifier puts out a whopping 750 milliwatts per channel!

Get those ear protectors ready... Very clean, well-rounded sound quality for "background" music levels, not quite the ticket for head-banging heavy metal ;-)

I decided to snap a photo of this ight after doing the "southern fried egg" pictures, hence the handy-dandy stovetop location.
