It doesn't take much to make an insulator collector happy. Try this combination. A new insulator, in a beautiful colour, and a nice sunny day. And I just happened to have my camera handy. Let's get back to the colourful insulator and the sunny day. I had gone out to check how the new insulator had survived it's first night in the "Insulator Field". There it was with the sunlight streaming through it. It is undecided whether I'll put this one in the insulator window, or leave it in the field. With sparkling colour like this, I think perhaps it will stay in the field for the time being, although, I will likely be moving it to a more easily seen location. To the right is another little Russian piece, while on the left is an even smaller porcelain from Vilnius, Lithuania. The next porcelain is from Portugal and 2 green insulators from Chile. On the row above are some pieces from the L'viv Insulator factory in L'viv Ukraine. These are often found in Russia as well, and recently, the factory was bought by new Russian owners. The Russian cobalt has found a new home. |
