This cluster of 12.5kV distribution poles sits right on Hwy. 8 and the lines are coming from the substation shown in the previous photo. Here the lines are directed to their destinations. Two circuits head south into the main part of Forest Grove. One circuit heads west on Hwy. 8 and stops about a mile out at the boundary of FGL&P and PGE. Two head north to the service area outside the city limits that the municipal Forest Grove Light & Power system serves. I am interested in the sky blue porcelain insulators on the lower crossarm on the pole to the right. I believe that they may be Locke 6510's in sky blue, which I have found hard to find. (Don't know the U-number yet). |
